This is my kind of place

I've arrived in Seattle and it's absolutely gorgeous up here! I've just been chillin with Erin and Ryan today...and sleeping a lot. I got sick on Monday and it keeps getting worse. I have an eerie feeling that it may be the swine flu. What great timing! Seriously, I don't think I have an immune system anymore. I was coughing up a lung in the airport and on the plane and everyone was giving me the stink eye. What? Blame it on China. Here are a few photos of hanging out at Erin and Ryan's awesome house and our Cafe Rio inspired dinner tonight.  If I feel well enough I'll be heading to town tomorrow to explore, so more pictures to come!

Spiral Jetty

Trish and I ventured out to the Great Salt Lake on Saturday to see Robert Smithson's Spiral Jetty. It's about two and a half hours away from K-town, just past the Golden Spike Monument. These photos are bascially unedited. I love my camera. And Utah.

The Uintas

We went backpacking up to Grand Daddy Lake in the Uintas last weekend. We hiked, lazed by the lake, played cards and enjoyed the incredible beauty surrounding us all weekend. We even got to pack up and hike out Sunday morning in the rain, which I loved. There are no camp fires allowed within a 1/4 mile of the lake so we weren't able to roast hot dogs and s'mores, play charades or sit around the fire yelling at Pops for his uncontrollable flatulence. Such a bummer. But it was the only down side to an otherwise perfect weekend!
