Saturday

IMG_7657

Mark and i journeyed up to Causey reservoir on Saturday to test out our new kayaks. It was
a little stormy on the lake so I left my camera in the car, but I pulled it out
on the way home to snap this shot of our view out the front windshield.
The kayaks were perfect and the lake was beautiful. After following a giant
bird (we think it was a herron) down a canyon, we came across
a friendly otter who let us mosey along behind him for a while. The quiet
and solitude of nature produce a treasured kind of loneliness for me. And it gets
even sweeter when that lonely day is spent with the one I love.

Aanni and Connor got married back in February in the Salt Lake City LDS temple and then had their reception
at the Grand America hotel. It was an incredibly beautiful wedding. Aanni and I have been friends
since we were in Kindergarten so it was so fun to be able to attend her wedding. This was also the first wedding
I have ever shot. It was pretty intimidating, knowing that I had been given the huge task of documenting the
biggest day in this couple's life, but it turned out to be a fun learning experience. Hopefully
there will be more to come in the future!

Well, the day finally came. Spring semester is over and I made it out
alive. Two more classes in the summer and I'll have a college
degree, more free time (hopefully), and a lot less money. Here's
to higher education.

This is my sister and her in-laws by the way.
